  • My friend's grandmother was just told that her entire spine is permeated with cancer. There is nothing the doctors can do. She knows the Lord and is at peace, but my friend, Josh, does not know the Lord. We have spoken in the past about spiritual matters, but up til now, he has rejected Christianity as he understands it. Please pray that circumstances will bring his heart to become softened, that he may be drawn to his only true means of strength, that he may somehow come to know the Lord as his Savior through all this. I will again endeavor to talk to him, if an appropriate opportunity presents itself. Please pray for me as well, that the only words he hears from me are those that God knows will best reach his heart.

  • Rocklin Let's Start an Epidemic of Prayer for Jews and Finish the Story For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ; for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; they shall prosper that love thee. Psalm 122:6 In the book of Ruth we see a beautiful story of Ruth, Naomi, and Boaz – a story of love, friendship and loyalty. It’s a spiritual mystery as well, an awesome truth about God’s plan for the age. Naomi represents the Jew, and Ruth, the Gentile. At the beginning, Naomi’s life ends up blessing Ruth’s life. At the end, Ruth’s life ends up blessing Naomi’s life. It’s profound. The Jew, Naomi, was born to bless the Gentile, but the Gentile is “born again” to bless the Jew. Through Naomi comes salvation to Ruth; through Ruth comes redemption to Naomi. That’s the same way salvation came from the Jewish people to bless you – who are not born a Jew. You are now grafted into the nation of Israel and are a fellow citizen. You have your own Jewish roots in Messiah. You are a child of Abraham, an heir of the promise. It is beautiful, but that’s not the end of it. Your blessing came, as with Ruth, through the Jewish people, so that you could bless back. The story is only complete when you do that. You see, the Jewish people were born to bless you, but you were born again to bless them. So pray for them and for the peace of Jerusalem. Bring the Word to get them saved and support the giving of the gospel to them. It’s time to bless Israel back, those who blessed you. It’s time for you to finish the story. Set aside special time today to pray for Israel. Pray that peace may be restored and for salvation to reach all who do not know Messiah. (written by Pastor Jonathan Cahn * Hope of the World Ministries *PO Box 1111 * Lodi, NJ 07644) E.G. White; Acts of the Apostles, pg. 381 In the closing proclamation of the gospel, when special work is to be done for classes of people hitherto neglected, God expects His messengers to take particular interest in the Jewish people whom they find in all parts of the earth. As the Old Testament Scriptures are blended with the New in an explanation of Jehovah’s eternal purpose, this will be to many of the Jews as the dawn of a new creation, the resurrection of the soul. As they see the Christ in the gospel dispensation portrayed in the pages of the Old Testament Scriptures, and perceive how clearly the New Testament explains the Old, their slumbering faculties will be aroused, and they will recognize Christ as the Savior of the world. Many will by faith receive Christ as their Redeemer. To them will be fulfilled the words, “As many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.” John 1:12 Among the Jews are some who, like Saul of Tarsus, are mighty in the Scriptures, and these will proclaim with wonderful power the immutability of the law of God. The God of Israel will bring this to pass in our day. His arm is not shortened that it cannot save. As His servants labor in faith for those who have long been neglected and despised, His salvation will be revealed. I am thoroughly convicted that God is soon to open the eyes of Jews that have not yet accepted their Messiah and want to be prepared to share and to receive more of the riches of His Word. The Apostle Paul writes in Romans Chapter 11 that we (Gentiles) obtained these riches due to some of the natural branches (unbelieving Jews) being cast off the olive tree. However, God is able to graph them in again. “If the loss and defeat of the Jews was overruled by God to produce riches for the Gentiles, how much more would the repair of this loss mean riches for all.” S.D.A. Bible Commentary Pg. 607 By the way, the olive harvest is the last harvest of the year, the end of the age. I truly want to be a part of such a revival and outpouring of the Holy Spirit, don’t you? More Prayer! More Power! More Blessings! Please join us in prayer to God every Sabbath at 1:00 PM for Israel’s victims of terrorism. Also, please pray for their protection and salvation and the restoration of their relationship with their Savior. Thank so very much. • Please pray for my mom. We almost lost her Tuesday night due to some complication with medications and fluid building up in her body, over stressing the heart, filling her lungs, and kidneys malfunction. • I just found out that my Grandpa Ferguson passed away this morning 3/14/09 at around 9:55 am. Please pray for me and my family. This morning at around 9:50 I was kneeling and praying that God would forgive me of my sins and to write that in my book ,(Rev. 20:11-15) that I was asking for forgiveness for the sins of my life. Then I asked God for the same thing for Grandpa. And to also note in his book that he has been truly a great Grandpa, always loving, always humble, never complaining, always making other people smile. Kind of sounds like our sermon series doesn't it? Then at 10:04 am I got the news that grandpa passed away about 10 minutes ago. I tried to come to church and help Clara out with the Children's Story today but just couldn't stay emotionally stable enough to get through it. Anyway I sat in my car and cried. We've got a good church family though. I let Ryan Standish know I was kind of in a dark hour and he came and sat in the car with me and just listened. Please keep my family in your prayers. Thanks.

  • My brother-in-law called me this morning (Tuesday Jan 27) told me his older brother, named Mike was not doing well and fading. He was diagnosed with an ulcer in his stomach about 6-months ago. He had surgery at a Verteran Admid. Hospital a couple of months ago, but has still not recovered and continues to be on interveinous feedings now for over 2-months. He was transfered to the Fresno area a few weeks ago. Now his brother said Mike's kidneys are failing and is on dialises (spelling-?) to remove the toxins from his blood. The doctors say that Mike, medically is losing ground and if the dialises doesn't work, that's all they can do. My understanding is that his spiritual background is a non-practicing Catholic. Please pray that Jesus will touch and heal Mike both spiritually and physically.

  • This is an answer to a prayer request I submitted on my first visit to your church. Just before heading out the door to go to church , on Jan 10, '09, I had received a desperate plea for prayer for my stepdaughter Bernice who lives in NJ. She was in debilitating pain, and was admitted thru the ER for a workup including CT and MRI. She is the mother of 5. Here follows the outcome: Good Morning all, Wow, the most amazing outcome has been given for Bernice's pain. She had been in the hospital since Friday, on IV fluids and morphine. She was unable to walk and was labeled a fall risk because of it. She could not stand up straight or bend her head to see her toes. Sun evening she was still waiting for the doctor to round on her. The one that came she had never met before. He looked like a mechanic, like her cousin she says. Jeans, sweatshirt, (weekend casual), and he said - I saw your CT and MRI and I think I know what is the matter. I want you to trust me. Well, he had identified her problem as a spasming psoas muscle. He knew how to do Active Release Technique (ART) on her and with that released the contracted muscle. It involves placing pressure on the problematic muscle and having the patient stretch as instructed at the same time. Bernice said she had to breathe through it as he applied his touch deep within her abdomen and she stretched her leg. Afterward, she could walk, shower, move everything totally normally with no pain. The nurses were flabbergasted as they were giving her morphine all day and saw her pain. He said, discharge her home, no meds, no treatments, just stretch, do yoga or something to loosen up those hamstrings, and here's my number if you need me again. He had had a problem some time ago that was successfully treated with ART, so he endeavored to be trained in it as well. Now, I knew exactly what she was talking about because a few years ago I was plagued with a terribly tight piriformis muscle that limited my mobility for weeks. (Think buttocks, sciatica), I got no relief from stretching or chiropractors until I found one who does ART. His name is Dr. Kim and he is on Professional drive in Sac. Well - one visit and I had 95% relief. So I knew what she meant when she said her Dr used Active Release Technique. Let me tell you - not every Chiropractor knows this system, it is a specific training. And I have NEVER heard of a regular old western doc who would walk into a hospital room and use it. They NEVER do muscle or soft tissue manipulation. It is usually pills, slice and dice, if you know what I mean. So how's THAT for answer to prayer!! Here is this doc she has never met, who knew what to do, did it and sent her home!!!!! When Bernice called home for her hubby to come and get her, he was prepping the little ones for bed. Bernice told her 17 yr old "tell Daddy to come and get me" and he was SHOCKED!! He had last seen her nodding off to morphine inbetween groaning over the Giants bad plays in the football game. We are all elated and so thankful for all the prayers!! Bernice and Diego send their thanks for the prayers. love and concern and they really mean it! Interestingly, at my massage school they had a book I bought called "The Psoas Book". You can learn more at the website www.coreawareness.com . Thanks and love to you all, have a great day, Sharon
